EVOLUTION STAGES

"eating, sleeping, mating - is plain thinking, this thinking also in the animals... So if we keep animal life problems, at the same time we claim that we are civilised, is it very nice? - Swami Prabhupada.

Then what?? Gathering of wealth, reaching highs of society - is that what is humane? Certainly not, for that is human created.

Evolution of mankind - the ever fascinating concept to me. Why do we exist? Or who am I? Are these the questions not everyone bothers about? Then what makes some struck by these and some saved from it?
Age seems to have no roleplay in the game of enlightenment. Some get these answers at an infant age and some don't even reach the questions on their death bed.

I have ever been wondering why we all are put on different ways when the goal is the same? Why some live as animals, some question their existence while some know it all?

And with my search for answers, I have settled with a self created theory for now, that evolution in a life span is not possible. Evolution needs many reincarnations to be achieved. Those at older ages not yet understanding the purpose of existence might be at the first stage of evolution whereas those understanding it at early age must be at the apex of evolution. And the in between stages would be of guilt, acceptance, questioning, understanding and applying, improving.... in the precise order. That justifies the animal, in between and enlightened stages to me.

I would really like to know if anyone can help me dig deeper...

  1. Scope of Yoga according to Vivekananda "It is a means of compressing one's evolution into a single life or a few months or even a few hours of one's bodily existence."
With our discriminative intelligence we have the power to accelerate this growth which would otherwise take several births.
Yoga is that systematic conscious process which can compress the process of man's evolution.

  3. I think at every stage of life evaluation takes place. It's up-to us if we want to recognise the process or stay num.

    1. Exactly.... so those who can't evaluate and those who can have a different placement in the evolution order than. Isn't it??

  4. As Einstein proved E=mc2 we are an energy. As per the ancient beliefs there are 84Lakh births before moksha (it might mean 84 lakh species of which "research" has found a few and are still working on it). Personal belief, yet to be questioned by the self, is that combining both of the above, this energy is given 84 lakh chances on earth to achieve a certain state of purity.some call it highest level of evolution. That part of energy within us may not achieve that. It does not mean it has no purpose.. every thing good-bad, living-nonliving has a purpose.. But the energy remains constant in the universe.

Hence the "YOU" or "I" which we are referring to, will never die (at least theoretically). So there is always a scope of improvement and Hence EVOLUTION!

How bout that Ankita? Seems logical or atleast arguable?

    1. Hmm... getting your point. But if human life is just one of the 84lakhs being the highest level, then how is it that some are learning and evolving and some are not. So I am of the opinion that we get a few more human chances ;-)
